Daily Travel Could Get Quicker

Traffic.com wants to make it easier for U.S. drivers to get where they're going.

The site launched a beta version of its "fastest drive now" feature that allows users to compare address-to-address and traffic optimized routes, according to a Jan. 3 release.

The feature takes into account current traffic conditions and traffic trends and provides users with an interactive map that highlights potential routes, pinpoints accident and construction sites, and shows real-time traffic flow on area roads.

"Fastest drive now" is Traffic.com's attempt to provide drivers with "meaningful, personally relevant content," said John MacLeod, EVP for NAVTEQ, the digital mapping power behind Traffic.com.
