China & Eastern Europe Among Travelers Top Destinations In '08

More U.S. travelers are headed to China in 2008 than ever before.

Beijing is one of U.S. travelers' top 20 most requested destinations for the first time ever, according to Carlson Wagonlit Travel's 2008 Travel Trends Survey released Jan. 2. Hong Kong and Shanghai also appeared in the top 50 most popular destinations for 2008.

But China isn't the only destination grabbing U.S. travelers' tourism dollars. Eastern Europe, Central America, and the Middle East were all rated as hot spots among U.S. travelers.
