EzRez Revamps AA's Agency And Vacation Sites
In the technology whirlwind now sweeping up countless travel companies, one travel-services provider has brought in outside experts to try to give the people what they want.
Technology provider EzRez Software, Inc. revealed on October 30 that it partnered with American Airlines Vacations and facilitated the carrier's redesign of its travel agency and consumer vacation websites.
The partnership kept AA Vacations from having to scrap and rebuild the sites from the ground up, said John Swanciger, SVP of strategic planning for San Francisco-based EzRez.
EzRez played a role in implementing several features in the recently re-launched sites, including: flexible vacation packaging, in which site visitors can compare available inventory in real time; a corporate-travel booking engine; and, in AA's frequent-flier program, a tool to help travelers redeem miles for hotels and car rentals as well as flights.
