Club Travel Rolls Out The African Welcome Mat For CarTrawler

CarTrawler.com is set to tap the South African rental car market, thanks to a new partner.

The global car rental distribution system has signed a three-year partnership agreement with Club Travel, one of South Africa's largest independent travel groups, according to a Jan. 21 release.

The agreement makes CarTrawler the only rental car supplier for Africa's first online travel portal, which Club Travel plans to launch later this year. After integrating Club Travel's portal with its system, CarTrawler will directly connect to more than 450 car rental companies in 134 countries.

Launching in March 2008, the Club Travel partnership is CarTrawler's first foray into Africa. The move puts CarTrawler at "the vanguard of a key growth market for travel" as it demonstrates the revenue potential of "making car rental an obvious choice in the booking process," said Greg Turley, CarTrawler’s CEO.
