Continental's Revenue Skyrocketed In 2007
Continental Airlines is riding high on $14.2 billion in total revenue for 2007 -- an 8.4 percent jump from 2006.
Additionally, the airline's fourth-quarter revenue showed an 11.6 percent spike over the year before, Continental reported in a Jan. 17 release.
Increased revenue wasn't the airline's only good news: Continental's pre-tax income for 2007 was $542 million -- a 78 percent climb from 2006. Further, the airline will "distribute $158 million in profit sharing, $47 million more than we distributed in 2006," noted Larry Kellner, Continental's chair and CEO.
